Commitments in Melbourne ensured that our annual winter trip was to be much shorter than normal, so some rest and relaxation was soon the key focus.
Our plan commences in Moama as we travel the Cobb Highway to Wilcannia - a road that we have not travelled before. This road is also known as The Long Paddock Touring Route due to its history of being a route along which drovers moved their stock (sheep and cattle). That still occurs today. Click here for a map and some history of the Long Paddock.
After that the focus is a route to Maroochydore via towns, places and roads that we have not seen or fully experienced before. We are booked in to Maroochydore for three weeks (at the moment).
On the way home we may check out "Waterfall Way". Click here for more details on that.
Regular readers of my previous blogs have suggested that past blogs seem to have a common, or regular, theme, such as coffee, food or alcohol. I would like to think that the theme this year will be to "bludge" - as in relax as much as possible.
Sounds easy! I hope you enjoy the trip.
